The Wizard of Oz has come to town!

Everybody knows the iconic story about Dorothy Gale from Kansas and her journey throughout Oz or has seen the movie. So why stop at only having seen the movie or read the book? For the past term and a half, I have been working with a group of nearly 25 children aged from 9-11. We have been developing a shortened version of 'The Wizard of Oz.'

We have been practising every Tuesday and I'm proud to say that the kids are doing  very well! The big event that we have been practising for is coming up soon and you can just feel how nervous and excited the kiddies are. Our performances (taking place at Riverlea Theatre) are going to be in September. (So this month!) Tickets are only $15 and the proceeds raised are going to the fund to help Riverlea Theatre buy back it's land! (Will be posting soon about this.) I'll be able to give the exact dates by next week Wednesday though :D

Here's a picture of our lovely Riverlea Theatre!

The children are very eager to continue practising and always arrive with such enthusiasm, that I'm always blown away! I love working with them and being able to be part of their final Stagecraft show is just amazing. I hope some of you might consider coming along and having a laugh with us!
